“The Studio Session” For Birth Of Royale Child

THE STUDIO SESSION came together as a raw, grungy, studio-inspired shoot for Birth of Royal Child, and from the jump, the goal was to make it feel real—not overproduced, not too clean. Just honest, a little chaotic, and rooted in music culture.

We approached this like building out a world instead of just putting looks on models. Every person on set had a role—like you walked into a late-night session and caught these characters in their element. We kept the environment true to an actual studio—cables everywhere, worn equipment, low lighting. I didn’t want anything to feel like a prop. The models interacted with everything naturally, and that made a huge difference in how the images came out. It felt lived-in.

Styling leaned into that gritty, layered energy—pulling from underground scenes and vintage references, but still letting the pieces from Birth of Royal Child stand out without trying too hard. That balance was important.

A huge shoutout to Birth of Royal Child for coming back and trusting us again. There’s already an understanding there, so we can push things further and really lock into the vision without over-explaining. That trust showed in the final product.
